StoriesX respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA“, 17 U.S.C. § 512), we will respond promptly to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement concerning material hosted on storiesx.us.
Filing a DMCA takedown notice
If you believe that content on StoriesX infringes your copyright, please send a written notice through our contact page including all of the following items:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail to locate it (full URL required).
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Incomplete or improperly formed notices may not be actionable. False or abusive DMCA claims may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Counter-notification
If content you posted has been removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material removed and its prior location (URL)
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your full name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your judicial district
Repeat infringer policy
StoriesX will terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
